(Draught at Foeders, Amsterdam, 6 May 2022) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Brief beige head. Malty nose with chocolate, caramel, vanilla and roasted nuts. Malty, slightly roasty taste with notes of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, pecan nuts, doughnuts and a mild roasty bitterness. Almost full body, quite sweet. On thes weet and slightly sticky side, but really tasty and quite mellow. Very nice.

Clear brown to black beer, big creamy bit irregular beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of dark caramel, vanilla, maple, pecan nus, very nice, lovely stuff going on here! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, vanilla, lots of dark burnt caramel, touch of lactose? Aftertaste: more dark caramel, pretty bitter, quite some vanilla, dry, nice stuff!

Can at home, dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is vanilla, nuts, malt, roasted, caramel, light sweetness. Taste is the same, bittersweet, nutty, caramel, chocolate. long aftertaste. nice.

Can from Frontaal online. Hazy dark brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of pecan, macadamia, vanilla custard, hard caramel, biscuit, dried banana, plum. Taste has sweet dried fruits (plum, banana, apple) in a caramelly, chocolatey & biscuity body with an edge of dry pecan nuts, slightly bitter herbal-toasty in the middle. Earthy hoppy finish, more pronounced roasted (pecan) nuts now, lingering caramel & dried fruit, warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Missing out on the vanilla a bit, but very tasty anyway.

Donker roodbruin bier met mooie schuimkraag die wel snel wegzakt. Smaak is vrij zoet en licht bitter met duidelijk iets van toffee en een beetje chocolade, karamel en vanille. Geweldig bier !

33 cl. can @ home, bought @ Rovin, Dongen. Dark brown with a beige head. Vanilla and roasted malts aroma. Sweet taste with some nuttiness and a low bitter finish. Nice creamy body and a long warming finish.
