Imperial Stout + Chocolate + Raspberries
An imperial stout brewed with raspberries and Valrhona cocoa nibs. Rich flavours of chocolate and fruit collide with boozy heat.
Building on our repertoire of wild stouts we have combined our love of locally foraged fruits with our penchant for sweet dark beers. The combination of fruit and chocolate is always amazing and what better way to combat the cold nights of the changing seasons than with a rich warming stout?

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is good chocolate, raspberries, fresh yeast. Taste is dark chocolate, raspberries, authentic chocolate flavour, not too sweet, lots of fresh yeast in there actually, slightly tart. Not too heavy mouthfeel with fizzy carbonation. Works.

At a tasting, medium bubbly head, opaque very dark brown color, aroma of raspberries, wood and pumpernikel bread, flavor of raspberries and coal with hints of caramel and chocolate coming through in time and the fruitiness more intense medium and highly empathic fruity sourness, alcohol unoticable. Great, original and highly enjoyable.

Enormous thanks to Vran's tasting crew for sharing this at the Kiselo Druženje 2018! Cola body, tan head. Aroma is mainly beet juice. Unsure if it's supposed to be like that, but I didn't dig it. The taste is comparatively nicer, forest fruit juice, berries really, visible malty backbone, vague tartness and a dry, dry finish. Okay beer, would never have guessed it to be an "Imperial Stout".

750 ml bottle. Pours black with a moderate head that disappears quickly. Aromas of chocolate coated raspberries. Flavors of dark chocolate and raspberries, just like chocolates out of the box. Definite heat in the finish. Not terribly complex but fun.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Black colour. Some chocolate and berry aroma. Thin body for an Imperial Stout, some roasted malts, strong raspberry character, vegetable bitterness as often happens with raspberries.
Unpleasant and unbalanced.

Dark brown. Thin head. On the aroma, the raspberry and chocolate notes are both fairly strong, and it's a bit toasty. Light, fruity, raspberry, chocolate. This is a nice beer, not reinventing the wheel, but well-balanced, decent acidity, and overall solid.
