Flasche vom Landbierparadies, Nürnberg (gekauft Nov. 2013, MHD: 19.06.14, verkostet März 2014). - Dunkles Kastanienbraun, klar, beigefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase angenehm weinig-süße dunkle Frucht, Röstmalz. - Antrunk überraschend fruchtig (Weintrauben) mit leichter, erfrischend säuerlicher Note. Erst danach dunkles Röstmalz mit Noten von Mokka und Bitterschokolade. Gut rezent, für ein Bockbier ungewöhnlich schlank und süffig, wenig süß und kein bißchen dick. Im Abgang milder zitrusfruchtig-herber Hopfen. Fruchtig-röstmalziger Nachtrunk mit Noten von Mokka. - Außerordentliches, ganz untypisch schlankes Bockbier, das saftige Fruchtigkeit perfekt mit aromatischem Röstmalz und Mokkanoten verbindet. Dabei sehr süffig; die 7 % Alkohol schmeckt man kaum. Ausgezeichnet!

Bottle: Poured a dark clear brown color bock with a tiny bubbly head with zero retention and no lacing. Aroma of unrefined grain with light burn toffee notes is not very enticing. Taste is also dominated by burn toffee with some acrid unrefined grainy notes. Body is average with low carbonation. There was really nothing in this beer that would make me want to try this again.

Brown bottle, 0.5 l, best before 06.09.12, via Importations Privées Bièropholie (merci Hughes!), savoured on January 10 2013; eye: bronze, clear, no effervescence, really tiny ring of beige head, no lacing; nose: malt, toffee, light burnt; mouth: malt, toffee, light acridness, light burnt, light maple syrup, finale in caramel with presence of acridness, medium-light body, not much carbonation, mildly sweet, thin; overall: ordinary FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 0,5 l, meilleure avant 06.09.12, via Importations Privées Bièropholie (merci Hughes!), savourée le 10 janvier 2013; œil : bronze, limpide, pas d’effervescence, très petit anneau de mousse beige, pas de dentelle; nez : malt, toffee, léger brûlé; bouche : malt, toffee, légère âcreté, léger brûlé, léger sirop d’érable, finale caramel avec présence d’âcreté, corps moyen-léger, peu carbonatée, moyennement sucrée, mince; en résumé : ordinaire

50cl swing top pours a hazy caramel brown with some thin, creamy eggshell head. Estery nose, some clove, pumpernickel bread, fresh cream, peppermint candy, birch. Flavor is malty, lightly sour, birch, some bread, yeast, root beer. Sorta creamy sorta watery finish.
