Bottle drunk with Björn at Christmas, drink with Bouche Noel. 2021 Vintage, 14.5 percent 375 bottle. Dark black, almost no head, light carb. Slight soy and sweet syrupy nose. Flavor is bready bourbon-vanilla, very smooth, not too alk-hot (though we've just had an Amarone before). Good complexity and big rounded and rich flavor. Right on To Øl!

(Bottle, vintage 2020) Black colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with notes of dark chocolate, strong sweet black coffee, bourbon, vanilla, caramel, treacle, dried fruit and oak wood. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with sweet espresso, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, oak wood, treacle, caramel, dried fruit, dates, liquorice, oak wood and a balanced roasty bitterness in a warming, sweetish finish with a certain alcohol bite. Full body, sweet. Strong and powerful, still really rich, tasty and warming. Great beer!

Bottle 0.375l, vintage 2021, 14,5% abv. Black, opaque. AROMA- bourbon, black chococoffee syrup, hazelnuts. FLAVOR- quite warming, medium sweetness, moderately bitter, the same as aroma. Full, syrupy body.

Cloudy black, thin, beige head. Aroma of chocolate sauce, green apple (acetaldehyde), bourbon, date, pear, shoe polish, soy sauce, beef jerky. Taste has sweet green apple, pear & date with a thin umami (soy sauce) edge kept together in a thick malt body of dark fudge & chocolate. Earthy hops in the finish, providing some bitterness but subordinate to the lingering dried fruits drenched in chocolate and boozy bourbon alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Sweet and boozy but in a good way.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, some liquorice and mild toffeeish tones. Flavour is fruity, floral, liqurice and mild toffee tones with some mild spices.
