This is the 2nd Memberhood beer for 2018 sold only to our faithful membership. For this beer we wanted to push our limits and see how far we can take our American Ale yeast strain. With the addition of some house made caramelized sugar as we as buckets of organic Vermont maple syrup we were able to get the beer up to 17.0% ABV. After fermentation we added raw coconut, real vanilla beans, and Brazilian coffee roasted by Mostra Coffee. All of these components were added without moderation and with the intention to equally shine in the finished product. Aromas and flavors of coconut and coffee hit you first followed by a dose of maple syrup coating your palate all while the vanilla lingers in the background from start to finish.

Pours black, medium small, darkly tanned, fairly stable head. Scent is roasty, adjuncts all show, but all mildly. Than again, th ebeer is 6-7 y old. Taste is full, sweet, but not over the top sweet. Maple most up front. Vanilla an coffee beyond that' coconut in the background. Thick, not extremely thick body. Low to very low carbo. Quite damn great. Full on maple, sweet finish. Nothing above and beyond to make it legendary, but this is a day-improver on any given day for sure ! Warm alc finish but not at all boozy.

Bottle thanks to Derek. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast, maple, licorice, vanilla. Slick body, roasted malt, maple, vanilla, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

Oh wow. Ridiculously smooth and easy for the ABV, absolutely dangerous stuff. Damn sweet, chocolate, tons of maple, vanilla and coffee. Some coconut as well. Just a liquified candybar. No boozyness whatsoever. Top 3 of the night! Madness.

10 August 2019. At Belgian Beer Geek Tasting. Cheers to the crew, thanks for hosting, Tim! Hazy black, lasting, very thin, tan head. Intense aroma of maple syrup, candi sugar, milk chocolate, brownie dough, cream liqueur, mocha, speculoos, raisin, prune. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, a very biscuity character enveloping notes of milk chocolate, maple syrup & caramel with a spicy cinnamon touch, nudging towards 'speculoos', even some coconut; only faintly bitter mocha & nuts; subtle sourish dark fruits buried underneath all that. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering cookie with chocolate & maple, some vanilla, hidden 17% ABV, hinting at cream liqueur & amaretto. Full body, creamy-sticky texture, soft carbonation. Rich & decadent Flavoured Imperial Stout; from what I remember this only got better when I kept on drinking it. Outstanding.
