On cask @ Waggon and Horses, Sheffield - Golden to yellow body, tiny creamy head. Hoppy nose, with notes of citrus and some underlying malt presence. Flowery and hoppy flavour, little malt in the background. Average at best.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond and firm medium-sized foamy head. Fruity and flowery hoppy aroma with mildly buttery malty notes. Moderately bitter and sweet flavour, light bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Balanced (cara-)malty taste with fruity (citrus, grapefruit) and floral hops; moderately dry bitter and mildly sweet malty finish with a rounded hoppy tail. Another light-weighted gem from Scotland ! 13.II.13

Pint at the brewery. Youโd think if it was going to be good anywhere, itโd be here, right? Well, after a few years of having increasingly bad pints of this stuff around Edinburgh, then outright avoiding it in the same locale for another couple of years, I thought Iโd give it another go. Itโs still the same. Dull as the proverbial dishwater.

Aroma has toffee, some English hops and hints of nuts. Flavour has English hops, toffee, some citrus and hints of nuts. Not IPA even in British scale โ more like your typical bitter with one or two extra hops.

Cask at Pennyweight, Darlington. Clear golden amber colour, foamy white head leaving lots of lacing, and a malty aroma. Taste is fruity malt mash, watery, with a biscuity note. Light creamy mouth feel, medium carbonation and a very slight hoppy dry bitterness. OK bitter.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a medium white head. Average carbonation. No lacing,
Taste: Distinct flavour combination of rose, freshly cut grass, light malt and boiled green vegetables. Not much hop profile, low bitterness.
Palate: Medium body with a slightly oily mouthfeel. Light carbonation.
Overall: Definitely not an IPA - itโs nowhere near hoppy enough or strong enough. Very earthy flavours. Quite dull. Why itโs as popular as it is in Edinburgh, I donโt know... Usually the best on offer in a poor Scottish pub.

Bottle from one of the supermarkets. Poured a clear copper colour with a thin white broken head. The aroma is strong rich, creamy and very fruity. The flavour is medium bitter, peachy and not particularly hoppy, which is strange as this is an IPA! Very drinkable but its no IPA.

(Cask at The Three Compasses,London) Pours gold/orange in colour, clear, thin white head, minimal lacing low carbonation and light in body Aroma of light malts minimal citrus. Taste is light citrus, sweet biscuity malt. A bit "meh" really, nothing special but available nearly everywhere if there is nothing else.
