From cask @ Adam & Eve, London. This is a near clear copper-golden one with a small bubbly and flocking white head. Light fruity with sweet apples and peach on the aroma. No carbonation with a soft oily texture. The taste is also infused with apples and peach. It also has a nice bitterness all the way. Light yeast-zesty in the finish. Good thirst quencher indeed. 20.07.2012

A fine golden colour with a white head. Moderate citric and hoppy nose. Fruity and hoppy flavour. More carbonation and a lot fresher than the cask version. Nice hoppy bitter texture.

This is the favourite beer of a mate of mine who lives in Edinburgh. This however is all about two hand pulled pints in the excellent ’Queens Head’ a small locals pub very close to Gretna Green in Scotland (9th June 2012). Fresh and well kept: pale with a good full, staying head. The aroma was all about hops and their smells: piney, citrusy, this was a fine smelling beer if you like your hops. The taste also had a hop front, side and back: not overly so, but it just seems right. A lovely couple of pints and although I’ve not rated/reviewed this in cask form before it is in fact a beer I often drink when in the UK, be it in England or Scotland.

Found this bottle in ’Gormet Foods’ on the island of Tobago. Alcohol 4.4%: Brown 500ml bottle, best before Oct 2009, drank on my hotel balcony in June 2008. Light amber colour with a firm white head it looked fine. Don’t forget I’d been drinking Carib Lager for over a week and I needed a beer fix. Impressive hoppy aroma, not overly powerful, but a true beer smell. The hops come through in the taste as well, a very understanded beer, flavoursome, but not pushy in its mouthfeel. There is a body to the beer however, it feels like a beer should. Overal, good, just what I wanted at the time. Didn’t realise I hadn’t reviewed it before.
