Our biggest and possibly our most beautiful (we’ll let you decide though) IPA in the Series to date. IPA #8 is double dry hopped with Simcoe, Moutere and Columbus hops, so you should expect a cloudy bright pour and intense fruit, dank citrus and pine notes. Best enjoyed as soon as you get it home.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: bright yellow color with a one finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy sweet, piney and light danky oniony tones, nice malt base
Flavor: bittersweet through the prior noted aromas; finishes piney and citrusy sweet
Texture: medium bodied - maybe a touch under, somewhat sessionable, some smoothness but also some hop bitter assertiveness
Overall: nice enough DIPA worthy of returning to.

Extensive, laced white head on an unfiltered straw body. An explosive nose with pine resin, grapefruit rind, grassy notes and a touch of tropical fruit. More of the same in the taste profile. Grapefruit, grapefruit rind, pine, orange pulp and lemon lead the charge. Notes of tangerine and kiwi underneath. All fresh and vibrant tastes. The malt is understated and sweet enough to provide some balance to the astringent and fruity hops. Medium density and slightly slick, but not sticky. A superior DIPA from a great Canadian brewery.

Can from the lcbo. Cloudy yellow pour, with a big white head. Dank hops, acotic citrus and some floral hop cones. A weird mix of super dank, bright and flowery. Good mouthfeel, lively carb. Finish is medium bitter, hints of tropical fruit, a big blast of citrus oil rounds it out.

(Can) Hazy golden yellow colour with frothy, off-white head. Hoppy, fruity nose with notes of mango, dried pineapple, guava, citrus, blood orange, spruce needles, honey and sponge cake. Hoppy, fruity taste with mango, dried pineapple, resin, tropical fruit, white bread, citrus peel, pink grapefruit and a balanced citric/resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain honey sweetness. Fresh and tasty, with lots of tropical fruit flavours. Very nice.

27th October 2019 Can. Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, a light creamy sweetness. Light pine, a little spice. Nice lemony edge to the citrus hops, I’m guessing Motuere making this nice contribution. Trace of skunk in the background. Good lemony finish with a touch of lemon peel, even a pinch of lemon sherbet and light pineapple. Spicy hop finish. Different and delightful, Motuere rocks!
