Elsie Mo’s name is derived from the Low Colour Maris Otter malt from which it is exclusively brewed, and which gives the beer its lovely golden hue. A blend of First Gold, Aurora and Bobek hops give the beer its delicate citrus aroma and floral taste.

500ml bottle. Holiday Inn, Nottingham. Golden amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of grain, malt, abit metallic. Taste is malty, grain, earthy, with some biscuit and citric grassy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, tangy bitter finish. Quite OK.

500ml bottle. Hazy dark golden/orange colour with a creamy white head, which doesn’t last, some lacing though. Aroma is hoppy, biscuity, doughy, malty. Flavour is slightly bitter, citrus malts. Lightly citrus bitter aftertaste that lingers.
