Taster at Spuyten Duyvil during Zwanze. Black color, small coffee colored head. Smells earthy, spices, cinnamon, bit buttery, doughy, sponge cake. Very nice smell. Full body, light carbonation. Tastes of wood, marzipan, dried fruits, some sherry, some sweetness. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of marzipan, dried fruits and sherry nuts. Very nice one, rather on the heavy side 8,4,7,3,16

Vintage 2019. black color, small tan head. smells vanilla, nutty, marzipan, mint, coconut. lovely smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes mint, nutty, bourbon, vanilla, light soy sauce, spices, bit oxidized. finishes lightly sweet with notes vanilla, bourbon and soy sauce. very nice one, sweet but very good stuff.

Sample at MBCC2019, Copenhagen. Colour is clear reddish brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some chocolate, dry fruits, some ripe fruits, some bourbon and malts. Heavy but enjoyable.

Dark brown color. No head. Oak, iodine, vanilla, brown sugar, burnt raisin, some coffee notes, which I don’t know where it comes from. Very dry and malty. Very full Body, big bourbon, oak, vanilla, brown sugar, tons of raisins, intense. Very malty. Sweet, but not full body. Nice warming finish. Super

Thanks Justin for sharing! Taster showing amber brown with barely any white foam. The nose shows a light bourbon background with a lightly forward notes of raisin and port wine. The palate is full bodied and sticky with very light carbonation. Moderately sweet with forward flavors of raisin, port wine, toffee, and caramel with light bourbon, smoke, and wood notes in the back ground. No alcohol burn whatsoever. Very smooth and surprisingly well done.
