Bottle shared in Hazlemere - cheers team. Pours black-brown with a small, foamy beige head. Big, rich, fairly sweet, notes of fudge, light almond, roast, light booze, raisins. Full bodied, lightly oily and chewy, with fine carbaornion. Sweet finish with mellow warmth, more rich and layered chocolate character, mild earthy bitterness, dark fruits. Delicious.

Bottle at the 'Mere, Happy New Years (Tipples had) Tastang, group split 21/01/22. Black with a tan cap. Nose is dark malts, spice, nutty, chocolate fudge, molasses. Taste comprises sweet malts, trace of almond, toffee fudge, chocolate, spice, prunes, figs, dates. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Decent decadent impy affair.

Tasting at Chez Bois. Thanks to the group. Opaque dark brown beer, very short lived tan head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous but then there is good fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Viscous dark malts, rich dark chocolate. Mild coffee. Mild coconut. The almond is light and runs throughout. Crisp finish. A rich affair but remarkably light and crisp palate wise.

Bottle at happy new year tasting. At Colin's. 21/01/2021. A thick oily dark black brown coloured pour with a whispy dark tan head. Aroma is thick meaty liquorice, brown sugars, almond, waxy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet medium sweet, tangy, dried fruit, nutty almond, liquorice, brown sugars. Palate is medium sweet, light tang,. Lingering warming alcohol.

Bottle pour shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque black with ring of beige head, nice viscosity, no lacing. Aroma is strong earthy roasted malt. Taste is strong earthy roasted malt, almond, light chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not much bourbon here. Hard to pick out the almond in aroma though it's there in flavor.

22 oz. Bottle from the brewery. Aroma is bold almond upon the swirl, bourbon, roast. Flavor is a reflection with aroma with very little bourbon or oak. Very mild. Alcohol is not not found any place. Nice!

ABV: (13.0)%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, almond, bourbon, barrel, moderate coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, almonds, coffee, bourbon, barrel, rich, roasted. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - smooth, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcolholic. [20210925]
