The Pier den Drol was created on the initiative of the KBR (Royal Library of Belgium) and the Het Goudblommeke in Papier / La Fleur en Papier Doré, to celebrate the Bruegel year in Brussels in style. We did not want to make a classic witbier, but decided to make a beer close to a white, but without spices and well hopped. The old hops bring both floral notes (hawthorn flower and acacia), fruity (quince, wild strawberries), and slightly spicy (nutmeg, white pepper)

BXL ‘19. Fairly hazy golden with an off white head. Aroma of yeast, herbs, light pepper and light citrus. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled at BXL festival. Hazy yellow with white head. Light tart fruits, fresh wheat, soft herbs, light citrus, light tart yeast. Medium sweet and bitter. Light tart. Medium bodied. Yummie.

Flaska från Kihoskh. Disigt gul. Som en vanlig trevlig de la senne med lite mer vetekaraktär. Melon och citrus humle.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Gialla torbida, opalescente, schiuma bianca media. Al naso esteri, frutta matura, banana, fieno, leggera spezia, lieve bubblegum. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con leggero amaro/acidulo sul finire. Corpo leggero, carbonazione medio-leggera. Buona, ma mi aspettavo di più.

Flaska. Smaken är till en början rätt anonym. Smakar veteöl utan de vanliga bananestrarna och lite citrus. På slutet framträder dock den vanliga De la Senne-torrheten med örter och gräs. Mjuk munkänsla.

Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Ghent, Belgium and consumed at Campingplätz Felbermühle which is between Stadt Neustadt a.d.Donau and Bad Gögging Friday 9th August 2018. Pour is hazy lemon with a white head. A little buzzy hoppiness, wheat also comes through, soft carbonation, a touch of lemon sherbert. Very nice.

Bottle at home. Cloudy yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma of bright fruit like unripe banana, pear and yellow plums, with a spicy touch. Dry, fruity and spicy flavour of cinnamon, coriander and pepper with undeniable Senne house yeast. Yummy

A murky and light yellow beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has fruiness, citrus, some wheat. Taste has citrus, sourness, wheat. Medium bodied. Easy to drink.
