Dark brown, thin head. Smells of tangy dried fruit. Flavour has the same, with coffee, vanilla, a little caramel and coconut. Rich, boozy and warm. Very nice.

A dark mahognay brown black coloured pour with a lasting dark tan head. Aroma is earthy rich dark chocolate, bitter chocolate powder, liquorice, some berries, black forest gateaux. Flavour is composed of rich dark choc, high coco count, hint of spicey chilli in the finish, some vanilla sweetness, cakey malts, not much coconut. Litle tangy berries. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, mild chilli heat, oily, mellow carbonation. Really nice.

Can 44cl.

Pours black with a hidden red glow. Medium (both sized and tanned) head, fades fast. Scent is coconut, some vanilla, up front. Not as sweet (impression) as expected. Taste is silky, surprisingly thick . Coconut - i'd almost say crispy in a way - Chipotle is completely lost. Mild vanilla. Coffee is medium present. Lower carbo. Well made - balanced pastry stout. I just had hoped - and expected - far more pepper spice.

440ml can at home. Pours deep black, very very slight hint of red, thin brown head. Nose is molasses, coffee bean, dark chocolate, char, spice, vanilla in the background. Flavor is sweeter than the aroma would suggest, bitter coffee and dark chocolate, sweet vanilla and coconut, but not enough to outshine the coffee. Long bitter finish

Can at home, from an online peddler, 01/08/21 … wee hours. Black with a moderate tan cap that soon clears. Nose is chocolate, spice, charr, coffee grinds, toffee, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate, green chilli, coconut trace, coffee bean, light spice, charr, bitter roast. Medium bodied with bite, fine to light prickly carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced boost. Decent well balanced impy stout … good coffee vibe, spice balance and a hit of booze.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of coffee, roasted, a bit metallic. MF: soft to no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots and lots of sugar, sweet, soft roast, quite some coffee, chocolate, lots of alcohol, some cinnamon, a hint of coconut. Aftertaste: caramel, malty, lots of alcohol, coffee, chocolate, soft roast, sweet, semi-sourish touch, very decent one!
