10 Coffee Porter - Doi Saket

Can from the brewery Bermondsey and drunk at home. Very dark brown almost black colour lasting tan head. Coffee chocolate aroma. richer than the previous one of these coffee porters I had. Still fruity. smooth in mouth. yes very good coffee. nutty and some sultana flavour. light to moderate bitterness on the finish. again so drinkable. hides abv.

Can. Near enough an opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and pretty light, still delivers a decent fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, a thin but pleasant creamy sweetness. Lovely Thai coffee here. A smooth espresso intensity, emphasis on smooth. Brown sugar caramel cream. A decent dollop of ripe fruity coffee. More coffee caramel cream on the back end along with a touch of spice. Smooth creamy coffee finish with touches of smooth creamy dark chocolate and spice. Delightful. After having tasted the previous two Coffee beers in this series, the superior character of this Thai coffee carries through unimpeded. Having visited Thailand, I hope this is a long established plantation and not another forest clearance. But then, what the fuck am I worried about? As long as everyone on the planet thinks they can breed as much as they like, extinction is just a small step down the road. Pass another beer please.......

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 29/04/21. Deep mahogany brown with a moderate tan covering that thins to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, coffee bean, dark chocolate, light spice, toffee, brown sugar melt. Taste comprises chocolate, light spice, dried fruit rinds, toffee, coffee bean, dark malts, toasted brown sugars. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol. Solid flavoursome porter ... coffee is subtle and understated but due to it being good coffee it does come through well.

Sample thanks to Fergus: Poured a deep brown with a tan color head. Aroma is grated chocolate bars, coffee roast, malts. Taste is rich chocolate, silky, coffee roast balanced, malty, almond.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours black-brown with a frothy, dense, beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour, lots of oily coffee, bitter earth, dark chocolate, raisins, roast. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation and velvety texture. Smooth finish, mellow warmth, creamy coffee, some coffee ice cream, bittersweet cocoa, fudge, roast, subtle earthy bitterness. Delicious, well rounded, impressively drinkable.
