Not your typical red – Wildfire is a modern hoppy red ale. Malty, caramel & chocolate base with an abundance of hop character. A sin- gle hop red ale, Sorachi Ace hops provide hints of coconut, lemon & a touch of oak. A creamy, herbal fin- ish with hints of malty sweetness. Hops: Sorachi Ace. Malts: Pale, Cara Ruby, Melano, Oats, Roasted Barley.

44cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark red, towards brown, with fine cream foam, limited. Aroma is malty and caramel, dry figs. Body is slightly dense, with average carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet. Final is average.

Clear deep red to brown ale, creamy off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, cow fodder, some caramel, hay, very rural character, barn yard, soft roast, hint of chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, grains, hay, slightly sweet, cow fodder, somewhat malty. Aftertaste: more malts, soft bitterness, git grassy, soft roast, some caramel, bit watery, grains.

330ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a short-lived frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt, toffee caramel, red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with smooth, fruity, light chocolate, spicy rum and oak palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Tasty!

Bottle from Geers. Clear dark copper, lasting, foamy, tan head. Aroma of brioche, caramel, peanuts, red apple, pear, redcurrant, dried tea leaves. Taste has sweetish raisin, red grape and slightly sour redcurrant; caramel malt body, bit nutty with herbal bitter edges. Herbal hoppy finish, tea-like, nuts and dried red fruits. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Decent enough Red Ale with surprising depth.
