Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#4. WOOL. Wool has a lovely countrified church at the back of the village-style town, not too far to walk but worth the detour if you spend time here. This beer bought close by in the local 'Spar' is a traditional English IPA and quite refreshing for it. It has a low but appealing fruitiness and a steady strength, with a good mouthfeel. Golden with a creamy head and creamy-ish texture

Bottle. Nose is fruity, summer fruits, yeast, hint of citrus. Taste is yeast, bread, lightly fruity, malt, hint of toffee in the dry fruity finish. Amenable

Can from LCB with BBE of 01.01.25. Pours a reddish brown, some haze, off white head, modest retention. Aroma and taste has a malty light brown bread and brioche quality with berries, citrus and flora. Decent bitterness. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Decent.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the local big Tesco. Pours clear, rich copper with a creamy, off-white head. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of toasted malts, caramel, mild pine, orange rind. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Rounded, malty finish with more nice pine, caramel malts. Tasty and drinkable.

12/4/2024. Cask at the 11th Isle of Man Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, citrus, vanilla, caramel, malt, biscuit, light pine, spicy edge. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, a little watery, average to soft carbonation. Drying finish. Not bad.

Cask at Egham Easter 24. Aroma is obscured by the previous beer. I'll strain. Fruit and malts. Clear dark amber. Frothy foamy off-white head. Medium bitter. Light resin. Stone fruit. Underlying malts. Long dry slightly astringent finish. OK if unexciting.

Spotty off white head on a reddish brown coloured body. Malt & berry aroma. Medium bodied, soft with a cloying back. Berry, malt, sugar & caramel tastes with a bitter hopped up finish. Tasty.

33cl Blik van Eden Project. Amber kleur, witte kraag. Licht bloemig, wat caramel, moutig, degelijk bitter, hint van citrus. Prima hoppige ESB, kan dit geen IPA noemen.
