A collab with our long-time friend Fernanda from the Nipo-Brazilian brewery Japas Cervejaria. A Brazilian take on a fruited Berliner Weisse: a Catharina sour with loads of tropical fruits & dryhopped with Mosaic for an explosive fruit beer.

44cl can, BB 01/02/2022, split with Tomas

Very good, just off-white head over hazy orange-ochre beer. Very remarkable, fresh and attractive nose with citrus, cilandro, kafir lime, lemongrass, ginger and mango. Ginger - but not overpowering, which is difficult - citrus - yuzu, no doubt - tangerine, kafir lime, berries. Light bodied for its ABV, spritzy, bit hopoils/fruitslick. BBP! for the kind of thing I rather expect from de la Senne or la Source. All the better!

Pours unclear blonde, medium big white head. Scent is intense, sharp fruits. Spices. Very complex. Hard to name the actual fruits used (or spices). Partly because I don't know all the fruits, partly because their intensity is very well balanced to one another. Taste is medium full, strong fruityness, fairly dry, herbal. ginger is recognizable. Mild tartness, OK. Not my personal preference (mostly due to the used fruits , rather than the quality) . Medium thin body, medium to medium high carbo.
