This review is of ’the remnants’ remaining from a 500 ml bottle started on a train and given to me in ’The Great Western’ Wolverhampton on 6 July 2013: there was around 150/200 ml left. Poured into a half-pint glass it looked a typical lager/pilsner: golden, bright and clean with the usual thin white head. Fruity in nature: I thought it fine and a good example of the style. It had both aroma and taste, not always evident in such brews. I’d certainly have a full bottle if offered. The rates below this are a bit harsh in my opinion, but the other guys had been drinking stronger/tastier stuff before opening the can and bottle of this brew.

Black Country Beano. Outbound train tasting! Thanks to Leighton. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and crispy, semi dry. Okay pale malt, slightly papery. nothing serious. Trace of malt cream. Forensic trace of something hoppy. Finishes semi dry. Nowhere near as bad as I expected.

Can on the Black Country Train Tasting Part I, 06/07/13, thanks to Leighton for this one. Clear pale golden with no head. Nose is cereals, corn, pale malt, grass. Taste comprises light citrus, pale malts, grain. Medium bodied, moderate carbonaton, crisp finish. Pretty Cack!
