Vinous aroma with biscuit and grapes. Some hopbitterness at first, immediately follwed by a biscuit-like sweetness and hints of caramel and licorice. Just a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste. Thin to medium bodied. Unexciting beer, lacks life and bite.

Young’s Bitter 4.5% Orange gold with a wispy fast disappearing head and grainy sweet aroma. Light bodied and fairly carbonic with a skunky hop character and a bit of a herbal green finish. A bit too gassy, it’s ok but pretty macro like and not in a good way. At least I got it on sale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear, deeper golden colored, strong creamy off white head, long lasting with nice lacing. Aroma is of malt, biscuit, light caramel, medium- fruity esters and light to medium grassy and lemony hops. Taste is medium sweet malt, biscuit and light caramel, some estery fruity notes, medium grassy and lemony hops, bit spicy, medium bitterness, dry bitter finish. Medium to light bodied, soft carbonation, bit watery.

Pint at The Old Ship in Chiswick. A good looking, light coloured bitter. The flavour was that of a basic bitter, biscuity malts and some bittering hops. It was well kept and pleasurable to drink, but basic and not one to get me dancing on the tables.
