Clear golden. Aroma is marshmallow, piment, melasses, apple (peel). Taste is slight sweet apple at first with a balanced sourness and spice. Later more apple peel and harsh alcoholic. Quite dry with a complex spice finish. Heavy but not oily. Drinkable. Warming. Unique.

Bottle, many thanks jonas! No fizz. Clear deep golden color with white head. Aroma is rum, apple skin, bratapfel-like. Taste is barrel, brown sugar, rum, almost sauternes-like, apple skin, red apples, christmas. Oily mouthfeel with just a touch of fizz. Awesome flavour profile, christmasy!

Vanilla caramel rum aroma over a golden whisky colored pour. Taste is hot buttered rum in apple cider, wow. Still has some remaining sugar - something added at the end, or malt? Highly recommendable.

Bottled. A hazy deep red cider with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of rhum, wood, apples, brettanomyces, ans caramel. the flavor is sweet with notes of apples, rhum, wood, and some brettanomyces, leading to a dry and tart apple finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark brown color cider with a small bubbly head with limited retention. Aroma of medium sweet apple with light warming notes from the screech rum barrel. Carbonation is lower then advertised though it is not necessarily a bad thing with a full body. Good balanced sweetness and good use of the barrel that provide additional complexity without cloying the whole mix.

Bottle many times, pours straw colour. Aromatic nose of bourbon, rum, brown sugar and apples - exquisite. Very complex flavour of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, bourbon, apples and champagne yeast. Finishes on the rum and apples, with a noticeable alcohol burn. Fantastic cider.

750 ml bottle from CapFlu, Thanks Todd. I assume it is the 2006 since the bottle says 11%ABV. Nose of rum, tartness, and contrastingly mildly sweet apples, to go with the oak, very green appley to my nose. Clear darker yellow gold with some floating bubbles from the carbonation. Flavor is rummy, mild woodiness, moderate tartness, and slightly sweetness of the apples. Finishes slightly tart. This would be a favorite usual drink if I could get it. If I get up to Victoria soon I may need to buy a case to take home.

Throwdown. Cheeseman’s surprise. Bright clear gold. Potent apple aroma. A touch floral. Pleasing sweet soft apple flavors, with a touch of light rum. Sweet, candyish almost but in a good way, a real good way. Medium bodied. Yes!

Bottle. Golden, champagne bubbles. Apple, almond and brown sugar aroma. Spicy apple cake, dark sugar, rum retronasal. Light sparkly mouthfeel. Almond aftertaste. A real treat as Hot Buttered Rumrunner - cheers Sunshine and Josh, that was a nice hangover afternoon!
