Taster 0,5l from bottle at Austrian Beer Challenge Day #2. 01.10.2025. brown hazy color, small off white head. smells spices, Marzipan, nutty, cloves, banana. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes Marzipan, banana, cloves, slices, tobacco, light bubblegum. finishes very balanced with notes of bubblegum, cloves and spices. Nice one, good to drink, good balance

Trübe dunkelbraune Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, nalziger, röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, röstmalzig mit Karamell und Banane. Mittlere bis hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Sehr malzig, ganz leicht schokoladig. Süffig. Der Antrunk ist sehr gut, im Mittel- und Endteil könnte etwas mehr passieren (minimal mehr Substanz wäre vielleicht nicht schlecht). Gefällt mir insgesamt aber schon sehr gut und ist sogar noch besser als die helle Variante. Ist im April 2015 neu ins Programm gekommen - bisher hatte Baumgartner kein Weizen im Sortiment. Und tatsächlich ist dies eine echte Bereicherung für die bereits sehr gute aufgestellte Bierregion Oberösterreich.

Bottle at home, thanks to Geiserich, 09/11/18. Murky deep brown with a decent light beige covering. Nose is toffee, brown sugar, light spice, brown bread, pear drop, fruit esters. Taste comprises sweet malts, biscuit, brown sugar, toffee, banana loaf, light spice balance. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough dunkles weisse.

Bottle. Burnt banana aroma. Dark red hazy chestnut, creamy offwhite head. Medium body, creamy. Roast, burnt, fermented banana, cake, some veggie notes, mineral ashen finish.

Bottle, many thanks Geiserich! Hazy ruby color with fluffy eggshell head. Aroma is banana, cream, light roast, caramelized banana, spicy yeast, chalky, a bit estery. Taste is caramelized banana, fresh yeast, chalky, some berries. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Roasty aftertaste. Okay Dunkelweizen.

Bottle 500ml. @ [ chriso & Boudicca's pre- GBBF Shindig 2016 ] - Chris and Ruth's House, London. [ As Baumgartner Weisse Dunkel ].Unclear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wheat, moderate yeasty, weizen yeast, yeast, banana, rubber notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, weizen yeast, caramel, banana. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160806] 5-3-5-3-11

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre GBBF Shindig 2016 - London. Day 1. Pours muddy amber with a frothy head. Moderately sweet, with notes of caramel, ripe banana. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with more gooey, sugary ripe banana. Not bad.

Bottle @ Chriso pre-GBBF Shindig 2016. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity wheat malty spicy caramel aroma. Fruity wheat malty spicy caramel flavor with hints of banana. Has a fruity wheat malty spicy caramel finish.

The great ChrisO pre GBBF gathering. Lightly hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Smooth malts - fair bit of caramel and banana. Smooth finish brings more banana. Okay.
