Cask at The Albion, Clifton Village, Bristol. Pours hazy vibrant orange with no head. Aroma: tart red apple, apple skin. Taste: moderate sweet, sweet red apple, red fruits, light tannins. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Dangerous on cask!

Baginabox at the Rose & Crown, Wycombe. It's a still, hazy orange brew. It's sweetish, but this is offset by a light dry funkiness. Apple juice with some sweat and fence panel - although I'd hasten to add that it tastes better than that description suggests! It's alright, actually.

Cloudy, orange colored, off white head small to none. Apple juice, fresh apple, apple rind, light apple rind bitterness, light acidity, moderate sweet, sweetish finish. Medium bodied, soft-flat carbonation, oily. This has got to have apple juice added after fermentation. Nice and flavorful.

Draught. Hazy orange color with no head. Aroma is red apple purree, light honey, gummy bears. Taste is sweet artificial apples, apple sauce, caramel, honey. Oily mouthfeel, surprisingly dry for the sweetness, but still with a gummy bear finish. A bit too artificial for me.

Bag in a box at the Cross, Oldswinford. Pours opaque orange with no carbonation. Aroma is cheesy sour apples. Taste has a cheesy apple start and a dry apple juice finish.

Draught at Knights Templer JDW, Bristol. Cloudy bright orange colour, no head and aroma of sick, apple. Taste is mellow apple, with fruity and barnyard notes, sweetish. Medium bodied, low carbonation, semi-dry finish. Cask, hand-pukk at Blackfriars Bideford. It pours cloudy orange with a small foamy white head. The aroma is earthy, wood, leather, sweet apple, apple pie, dried apple, but of spice and leather. The taste is bitter - sweet, pretty smooth, juicy, oily, tannin, dried apple, white sugar, apple juice, drying wood, earth, touch of alcohol and some astringency with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not quite the depth I was hoping for and perhaps errs on the sweet side, but enjoyable enough stuff from the big boys.
