Unclear orange with a creamy head. Rustic basement notes, lemon zest, sourdough, marzipan, hay. Dry zesty bitterness, grainy hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry hoppy zesty rustic bitter finish. A great example of a Franconian Kellerbier, all there what you would expect!

Draught @ Brewery. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Small green apple. Hay and biscuit. Good breadcrusty malts beneath. This and the kellerbier suffered some fermentation issues on my visit easter, 2023.

Tap. Murky golden. Fruity, apple slightly mineralic mold. Tastes like sparkly bread that is a bit too old. Aftertaste is sticky applejuice. Not bad.

Tap at the Franconian Beerfest 2019. Hazy gold. Lemony nose wth biscuity hops. Sweet and lemony, biscuits, bread, with a peppery, prickly hop finish. Decent.

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy, biscuity, delicately hoppy, mild grains. Taste is biscuity, grassy. Oily mouthfeel with rather big-bubbled carbonation. Good, though maybe a bit too light, almost watery.

Tap(@Hohenschwärz):Deep golden, hazy, stable and lacy white head, robust grainy and spicy-hoppy nose with some fruity spots; almost strong dryish, but not too dry, bitter-sweet flavour, nearly medium bodied and quite soft; long and longer lingering bitter-herbal finish with a mild grainy sweetness. Great franconian village brew...
