23rd Dec 2014: hand-pulled cask pint in The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire. Mahogany/chestnut body with an off-white crown that produced some good lacing. Malty and semi-sweet with a nutty feel to both the nose and taste. Slight spicy trace within the flavours and an easy drinking Christmas brew.

Cask, handpump at a The White Horse, Banbury Beer Festival Meeting, Monday 13th January 2014 Amber in colour a little murky, malty in the mouth. As Glen correctly noted it is a touch tired perhaps, however it is still quite agreeable. Tangy, fruity and with a few things going on in the mouth, it is fine if somewhat predictable. Cask @ Ship, Bromham Road, Bedford. A shade lighter tha chestnut brown. Faint aroma, consisting of caramel and toffee malt notes. Bittersweet. Rather bland, but certainly drinkable.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear copper colour with a broken white bubbly head. The aroma is malty but weak leading to a medium bitter flavour, with fruity hoppy dry bitter notes. The dry bitterness hits the palate fairly quickly and stays around for a while. Not quite what I would expect from Everards, but very welcome all the same.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Amber with a loose white head; lacking aroma; simple caramel malt flavour with a light touch of spice; and some digestive biscuit to finish. Another boring basic bitter.

Cask @ JDW Inverness
Appearance Amber, clear, frothy white head, reasonable lacing.
Aroma Hint of grassy hops, some sweet caramel malt, not much aroma.
Taste Caramel malt, hint of spices, fruity, toffee, quite complex flavour.
Palate Soft carb, medium body. Finish - fruity, bit of citrus, bit of light roast malt, soem lingering bitterness.
Overall A bit unusual but was OK - better than the other Everards beers tried so far.
