Thanks to Paul. Hazy deep gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, a light creamy sweetness tempered by light and bitterish wood. Nice vanilla streak. Bitterish orange peel and mild spice. Light semi dry finish. Pleasant and a little different.

Keg at North Bar in Leeds. Pours hazy red brown with a thin white head. Aroma is funk and jammy red fruits. Taste is a lovely balance of jammy red fruits, red wine barrel and a little funk almost got a bit of custard on the finish. This is some decent shizzle

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Lively pour. In the glass it’s a hazy, pale copper colour. Thick, firm, lasting, off white head. Nose is big on the burgundy barrel. Lots of tang and twang. Some sour cherry. Missus reckons rhubarb and custard. Good hit of bright brett. Some cut oak. Taste is sweet and bretty, to start, turning dry, tart, and astringently vinous. Massaging mouthfeel, while staying clean and crisp. Tart and dry finish. Really good. I’ll definitely be sticking a couple of these away as there’s probably a lot more to come, too.
