Bottle brought back from Denmark, many thanks to Maarten! Pours hazy dark brown to black with a lasitng, frothy, beige head; some lacing. Aroma of orange peel, lemon zest, fondant, walnut, toast, Pim's biscuits, blackcurrant, pink grapefruit. Light malty sweet onset, quite nutty with a chocolate note; quickly turning to a medium hoppy bitter middle that has orange zest & grapefruit, toasty edge, sour accent of lemon zest. Dry, piney hoppy finish, lingering toast & fondant. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Not the supplest of Dark IPAs but good.

Appearance: Batch 1420. Very dark brown, near black. Some tan head. Aroma: Medium malt, some fruits. Light roasted. Caramel sweetness. Taste: Dark malt, roasted, slight burnt. Very low bitterness. By the taste, I would have never guessed it was a dark IPA. Bought: Irma (Copenhagen), 500 ml, DKK ??.?? Info: 15/10-2018, BB: 8/11-2018

Thank you for sharing Hamirubi! 500 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG17. Dark brown amber, little tanned head. Nice bitter herbal head, heavy roast. Too heavily roasted, bitter bark, bitter herbs, too harsh but not bad. Body is dry bitter roast & bark. Far to unbalanced but not bad at all. Fun solid enough brew.

A coffee and dark malt dominated ale. Not very typical BIPA
Dark color with a fine beige head. Some lacing. Ok aroma intensity. Mostly coffee, chocolate and some hoppy notes. Medium + body and a bit soft carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Coffee, chocolate, licorice, mild hoppy and some fruity notes.

50cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours very dark brown with a reddish hue with a beige head. Surprisingly mild roasty aroma with some coffee and chocolate, dark fruits, hints of wood, smoke and hops. Medium sweet and less flavourful than expected. Fair enough. --- Beer merged from original tick of India Dark Ale (2012 - ) on 17 Oct 2015 at 22:30 - Score: 6
