Can. Pours a clear light yellow gold with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma is full of straw and hay with a little bit of grass supporting. Flavor has lots of straw, hay and corn notes with just a touch of grass in the finish.

12 oz can. Expired a little more than a month ago. Aroma is corn, hay--pretty much like your basic macro lager. Pours hazy yellow with a collapsing white head. Taste starts out sweet before a grassy hop bitterness sets in. A little thin. Not bad. I wish Mexican lagers had this much hop flavor and bitterness.

Can pour into taster cup at One Stop Market 30th Anniversary. Appearance is pale yellow, mild sparkle, tiny ring of white head. Aroma is very mild--a little yeast, cracker, earthy, Pilsner-like malts. Taste is pilsner malts, cracker, dry, earthy, hint of corn taco shell. Palate is light-to-medium with thin, foamy texture with lively carbonation and dry, earthy finish. Overall, nothing bold here or particularly noteworthy. Not as crisp and refreshing as you might want due to the dry pilsner-like quality.

12 ounce can from Beer Run, 4/19/16. Hazy yellow, medium fizzy white head, good retention. Aroma of lemon, grassy hops, pale malt. The taste is pale malt, doughy malt, grassy hops and a bit of finish. Medium bodied, crisp. Solid

Gold with a white head. A touch sweet. Clean and light grain with a hint of hops. Intensely sessionable. Very nice.

Poured from a 12 oz can with a best by date of 12/12/2016. Aroma is malt forward with light grain notes and a bit more corn. Light woodsy hop notes. A faint floral ester note with hits of fruit as well. Pours a rather clear, pale yellow gold with a medium large, thick, white head recedes slowly but steadily to the edges and disappears. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with moderate notes of grain and lighter corn character. Medium light bitterness. A hint of a woody hop note. Light floral esters with a light banana/bubblegunm ester as well. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation and a crisp finish. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an inoffensive beer but certainly nothing great either. I guess it tastes fresher than other light lagers, but its still just as boring. I might even say the ester note flaws the beer and takes away from the crisp cleanness.

Can from Brewers Haven. Everything you’d expect from a pale lager, turned up a notch. Palest golden. Initial foamy head. Grainy aroma, but not too sweet. Taste follows with some more grain flavors, silky smooth texture. A bit sweet on the finish, but a great tasting lager.

Can: Hay nose, lightly sweet, only mildly fecal. Clear yellow, thick head. Sweet hay. Medium body, easy carbonation. Not a bad facsimile of a foreign lager, which I kind of enjoy.
