This super-extreme Quadruple Oatmeal Russian-style Imperial Stout will tantalize, engulf, and quash your taste buds like no other! Q.O.R.I.S. is even more dark and hoppy than D.O.R.I.S. Double Stout, and stronger than T.O.R.I.S. Triple Stout. Dry-hopped and first-wort-hopped with aromatic American hops to create one great and memorable Imperial Stout!

Opaque dark brown beer, a very small and very short lived bubbly dark brown head. Airy smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Super rich dark malts, rich and a little bitter. Rich dark chocolate malts, no sweetness. Trace of dark malt cream. Generous helpings of dark ripe fruits and alcohol spice. If you told me this was bourbon barrel aged , I would believe you. Spicy intense finish. Full on and entertaining.

Undated 8.45oz can (I think it's 2025 vintage), drunk 8/23/26.
Old school RIS mix of aggressive PNW hops, oily, thick roast and char with a hint of pleasant oxidation. Certainly doesn't smell sweet! Though nor does it show any sign of the very high alcohol. Very intense, rich, as it should be.
Sweeter than expected but not sweet. Just appropriately malty to balance all of the hop, char, and alcohol. But again, though warming is inevitable, I'm not finding any hot/sharp/overt alcohol. This thing could have easily gone a few more years in the can, though I'm not unhappy to be drinking it in this state. After rotting so many of my beers from ridiculous over-cellaring, I try to open stuff pretty fresh these days; especially beers I've never tried before. Given the small can size and the lack of barrel-aging, you never know how well this would have aged. Shockingly well-balanced now, for all of this hop and roast and its size. Pretty impressive to pull off this gravity of a stout without barrel aging.

Can.
A- Black color, black liquid, brown head.
A- Roasty, char, cocoa, anise.
F- Roasted malt, char, black licorice, bitter, cocoa, mild alcohol.
T- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, robust finish.
O- A nice classic tasting RIS. A big beer but not boozy for the abv. No frills just dang good. 8oz can was perfect.

Bottle at CafΓ© De Koffer, Groningen. Heavy and boozy with an aroma of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate. Sweet and alcoholic, some burn. Big full body. Rich and over the top, very nice but glad to have shared this one.

Thin reddish brown head on a dark brown still body. Coffee, malt, dark chocolate & berry aroma. Medium bodied, soft over the tongue with a clean back. Coffee, malt, demerara & cereal tastes with a bitterly hopped finish. Top Drawer.

8 oz. can. Pours black, with a big, foamy, dark brown head. Bold and lovely mocha, dark chocolate, nutty sherry, chicory, and light smoke. Sweet, malty, roasty, and sugary. A good backing bitterness. Very heavy, syrupy, and chewy. Huge, aggressive, and delicious stout.
