A lager-style, bottom fermented beer with a light golden color.
Agricola is characterized by a white compact head with a round body and a well-balanced bitterness.
Following the most typical brewery tradition, the sweet malted flavors are predominant, whereas hops emanate a wide variety of aromas, from the grassy to the flowery ones. It is the perfect choice at all times of the day.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A slightly hazy straw coloured pour with a loose white head; slightly musty grain aroma; rather thin with a sweet grainy taste; and a little grassy bitterness, and a hint of lemon, to finish. A pleasant enough lager.

The nose is dominated by barley, with some floral notes. The foam is not very persistent, with medium bubbles. The colour is golden, slightly opalescent. The body is medium. The flavour intensity is normal. The consistency is sufficient. On the palate, there are notes of cereal and a slight lemon note. The bitterness is slight and herbal. Very drinkable and refreshing.

Saturday 5th July 2025. Two 330ml cans from Beer52 and a 33cl bottle from a friend who knew I needed a beer from this Italian region (I’d asked her get me a beer from here while she was on a cycling holiday). Slight haze in each one, bright golden body, short lived white head on each also. Bottle version seemed fresher and crisper. Decent enough beer, slight malty lead with a mild hop bitterness throughout the three beer tasting.

330ml can from Beer52. Clear gold with white top, decent retention. Aroma of grainy malt with dusty straw and hint of citrus peel. Taste has a moderate sweet bread with some fruit pastels, light grass and flora. Medium bodied, slick with just the right amount of carbonation. Refreshing, lovely mouthfeel, but flavour wise its middling.

Keg draught at We Brought Beer, Tooting. Light gold, clear with very little head. Gummy aroma, some orange peel. Sweet taste which is got a lovely flavour of bready malt, with some subtle bittering hops on the finish. Soupy body for the ABV, medium carbonation. Very nice. Sounds like a workaday review but this is an excellent Helles.
