[9/6/2018] Cask at Euston Tap in London. Clear copper. Malt, caramel, toffee, a bit of diacetyl, fruitiness, minerals, sweet, medium-bodied.

Cask. Clear amber color with white head. Aroma is toffee, grains, earthy. Taste is toffee, nutty, a touch coffee even, bready grains, berry flavours. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Classic if ordinary Cask Ale, agreeable.

Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear copper colour with a frothy off white head. The aroma is malt, dry woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, malt, dry woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ Dirty Dicks, Halifax. Copper with a glow and a small head. Has a malty-sweet nose, with a similar but slightly lesser taste with some grainy flavours.

High Wycombe Walkabout. Red Squirrel Tap Room. Cask. Clear gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry and with modest carbonation. Dry sweetish malts. Tangy fruits. Touch of apple. Not great.

Cask at RS High Wycombe, 05/11/16. Rich amber to brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscut, toffee, wooded tones, nutty. Taste comprises airy malts, fruit rinds, light spice, brown bread, biscuit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent flavoursome bitter.

Tap at Red Squirrel. It pours clear deep amber - brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is brown bread, wood, toasted grain, cracker, rivita and light spice. The taste is dry, bitter, brown bread, rivita, caramel, earthy, spice and leather with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad.

Keg at the RS Emporium - High Wycombe. Pours clear copper with a big, fluffy tan head. The nose has some leafy hops, earth, aged berries, faint wood. Light sweet flavour with nice berry notes, brown bread, low bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Good balance in the finish, lightly toasted bread, some mild bitter earth, dried berries. Solid.

Keg at the red Squirrel shop high Wycombe. A clear reddy amber coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is woody, toasted malts, berry. Flavour is composed crisp, toasted woody acts, red berries, . Palate is medium sweet smooth, slightly creamy, woody finish. Twig. Pretty good.
