Bottle from Hopduvel. GUSHER alert. Hazy ochre, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of orange, oxidized mandarin peel, plum, funky peach, unripe pineapple, honey, vanilla. Taste has sweetish peach & plum, sourish mandarin & lemon in a honeyish malt body. Tart finish with funky citrus, some clove-like phenols and warming white rum-like alcohol - all in all clearly infected. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Base beer is practically ruined and the barrel treatment drowns in infection. Too bad!

Dorée légèrement trouble, col épais blanc.
Arôme offre un nez classique belge, qcq esters relevés par un bouquet plaisant de rhum dont s'échappent des notes de vanille/boisé, qcq pointes de malt grillé en retrait.
Palais garde un caractère belge, rhum blanc avec une petite touche épicée en fin de bouche - pointe de vanille, effervescence haute qui vient un peu nuire au caractère général. Un léger fruité agrumes-orange ajoute à la fraicheur de la barrique - cela reste par ailleurs toujours délicat d'utiliser le rhum en BA.

Clear blond bold beer, small creamy white head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, some rum indeed, dried fruits, bit oxidized, some banana, more tropical fruits. MF ok carbon, medium body. Taste: alcohol, sourish, probably infected, very fruity, bitter, bit unpleasant, soapy. Aftertaste: dry finish, sourish, oxidized, bitter, alcohol, bit infectd, funky, rum, some tannins, bitter finish.
