Bouteille 750ml.

A golden hazy ale with a thick white head. A nice herbal malt aroma, orange notes, a bit of catnip. In mouth, a sweetish malt with yeast, curacao, very herbal, but a bit thin. Bottle from SAQ, tasted Sept. 6 2009.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grain with a bready yeast that is quite dominant. Taste is also dominated by loads of grain and fresh cereal with a bready yeast and minimal hops. Body is quite full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no signs of the alcohol. I really enjoyed the cereal taste but would have wished a more discreet yeast strain.

Dark golden color, nice head. Sourish, bitter aroma, seems to have good hopping. Fruity, hints of citrus. Rather complex flavor. Fruity and hoppy, with a very original and interesting malt / grain character. Finish is very malty and nutty, although not in the usual barley only sense, then comes a long-lasting hop finish. I like this beer a lot. Like nothing else I have ever tasted. The 7 grains come out best in the mid-palate and finish; strong and interesting.

Appearance is a foggy yellow-gold with a small head on top. Aroma is quite complex - lots of stuff happening here, with coriander, various grains, some alcohol. Has a very heavy taste of wood, and of course grains - barley, wheat, malts, combined quite expertly into something unique, and also strong. Great mouthfeel. Great beer, unique, something to remember.
