Bottle shared @MBCC 2025, Green Session. Black, light tan head. Rich malty, coffee and vanilla aroma. Sweet dark malta flavour, vanilla, syrupy dark malt.

A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted dark malt, vanilla. Taste of bourbon, sweet dark malt, coffee, boozy finish.

Draft @ MBCC 2018. Pours a dark brown black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty woody bourbon chocolate and caramel aroma. Roasted malty woody bourbon chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty woody bourbon chocolate finish.

Tap at the brewery - 2023 edition, 14.5% abv - black pour - nose of molasses, figs, coffee, maple - slick mouthfeel, full body - earthy maple sweetness that thankfully does not become cloying - chocolate, coffee, oak, red wine - finishes with moderate bitterness and light acidity - lingering background chocolate and alcohol warmth.

50cl bottle pours an oily brown, hardly any head. Nose is sugary, coffee, maple. Flavor is huge maple. A little oxidized on the nose. Full bodied, fully sweet finish. 7 3 8 4 14

Capped 500 from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight, transient dark tan head. Aroma is primarily maple. Full bodied. Flavor is maple, chocolate, bourbon, wood notes. Not at all dry. Heat fights off the nearly sticky sweetness. Who'd a thought this much sugar could work so well.
