Zoet en zwaar bier. Ik proef kruidnagel en vanile. Toch goed drinkbaar. Lekker rustig schuim.

From tap at Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht. Aroma is brown malts with caramel, spicy tones, vanilla, notes of nutmeg and cinnamon, and a touch of brown sugar. Sweet flavour with some bitterness. Lacks a fuller body. Decent, but I'm not picking up that much of the wood infusion besides some vanilla. Lacks Quad refinement.

33cl Bottle, thanks Henkie! Brown colour, beige head. Aroma of a typical Dutch bock, sweet ripe dark fruits, a bit cloying, prunes, hint of veggies, alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet, roosvicee, dark fruits, caramel, some roast, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Expected a lot more from this bock-stout fusion they claim to have made.

Bottle. Color: Copper, beige head. Aroma: Sweetish malt, caramel, lightly boozy and smoke. Taste: Over medium sweet, malt, grain, caramel, some booze and vanilla notes. Herbal, sugar, light coffee and smoke hints. Warming mouthfeel. Moderate bitter, somewhat more bitterness at long lasting finish. Subtle wood notes at finish. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Nice one, take your time to explore the pretty complex taste of this beer..

Hard, ongepolijst. Belgian style equals balance in my book. Dat heeft deze niet
