Art of Neurosis is literally the art of Steve’s neurosis. On of the staples at the brewery, AON was the first big batch that 2nd Shift ever produced and distributed. It actually took brewmaster Steve Crider 47 times to brew this beer before he considered it ready for the main stage.

AON is the first beer I made at the brewery. It is a hop sandwich brewed with Simoce & Columbus Hops, which are the greatest things in the world besides a good smack in the face.

Amber colour, small beige head. Light bready and citrus nose. Medium-bodied. Sweetish tropical fruits, caramalt and resiny hops. Ok malt base. Ok, after 5+ months it is a bit bready.

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

473ml can. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Tropical fruity, slightly piney, hoppy aroma, notes of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, citrusy grapefruit and lemon overtones, caramel malty background. Taste is bitter, piney, citrusy and tropical fruity hoppy, sweet caramel malty backbone, notes of pine, spruce, pineapple, some orange, blood orange, grapefruit, a touch of mango, mandarine; creamy texture, smooth and soft palate. Very good!

473ml can. Pours amber with a slight haze, off-white head. Aroma of orange, pine, grapefruit. Taste is bitter, piney, orange, grapefruit, resinous, caramel. Medium body, soft carbonation. Solid IPA.

Green onion and passion fruit. Pretty nice stuff. Pours amber with OK head. Hop tang finish with some booze. Nice stuff. Can.

Draught @ MBCC'18 [ Yellow Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark. [ As 2nd Shift Art of Neurosis ].Clear medium red orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, sweet fruit, sugary, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, sweet hops, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, resin, fruity hops, fruity, pale malt, citrus - peach. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180511] 7-3-7-3-15

Can, from City Hops. Pours highly cloudy orange with large foamy off-white head, faint piney aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter lightly salty orange peel taste, thin body, long finish. Good brew.

From tap at the brewery. Light unclear dark amber color with off white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, bread, caramel, grass, pine, light citrus. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
