Blend of 1, 2, and 3 year old Danish Wild Ales with fresh Stevnsbær cherries from @frederiksdalcherrywine.
For the 2020 vintage, we had the honor of visiting the famous cherry winery and orchard and harvesting our own cherries. We also got to visit and talk with owner Harald, and winemaker Jonas, and pick their brain a bit. After a day full of tasting and learning about cherry wine production, we headed home with a brain full of knowledge and ideas on how to improve our beloved cherry beer.
The result was a shorter maceration than previous vintages, with twice daily pump-overs to maximize skin exposure and keep the temperature of the maceration homogenous.
We are ecstatic with the results, and we know you will be too!
Aged for 12-36 months.

Vintage 2020, tap at BGB. Very dark purple-red body, murky, pinkish head. Highly funky up front, glue, apple, but an interesting cherry touch in the end. Cherry puts up more of a fight in the taste, lean, fairly funky, lightly tart, juicy. Not packing as strong of a punch as the Pantao, but has its own upsides definitely.

Draught at BeerGeek Bar 7th anniversary. Hazy, red to violet colored. AROMA- cherry, sour cherry, wild, funky, leather, bacteria. FLAVOR- a bit sweet, lightly bitter, slightly sour, cherries, funky, leather. Medium to fuller bodied. Great one.

Draught, half pint. @Caminha Artbeerfest 2021, Caminha (Portugal). 14/08/2021 [#4.157 Global - #252 Denmark - #4 Mikkeller Baghaven] Pours deep burgundy with no head. Aroma: frozen cherry, oak and tart. Taste: fresh cherries, juicy berries, very tart. Light acidic astringent finish. Next one please!

7-4-8-4-15 Bottle, vintage 2020, four years before bbd. Pours opaque red, with a big creamy red head settling at finger thickness. Aroma is tart musty cherries, strawberries and dark berries, as well as leather, tannins and wooden barrels. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart fruity cherries, fruit pits and minerals, as well as forrest berries and wooden barrels. Dry, astringent finish.
