330ml bottle. Darkest brwon colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Roasty, minimally nutty, dark malty and herbal hoppy aroma with a woody and papery touch, notes of cocoa, hints of coconut, a touch of mint and vanilla. Taste is minimally sweet and nutty, roasty dark malty, minimally woody, notes of cocoa, a touch of vanilla, hints of coconut, mint, eucalyptus. Sorachi isn't known as a straightforward, pliable hop variety and we can find validation in this case. Quite interesting, but not fully matching composition IMHO.

330ml bottle, thanks to Kolshtrinker for this. Pours deep dark brown, good silky tan head. Aroma sees some nice sorachi notes accompanying the roast, and dark malt. Taste is smooth, with layered malts and soft roasty warmth and some welcome coconut and almond notes with a gentle bitter finish. Interesting, well-balanced, flavoursome india stout.

0,33 l bottle from Craft Beer Kontor, Hannover. Black in the glass with a more than one finger beige head. Smells fresh herb hoppy. Starts hoppy with the typical Sorachi Ace taste, pepper, some wood, coconut, hints of burnt plastic and vegetable soup. Little bit more toasted malt in the second part. It seems I never get in to Sorachi Ace hop. Sorry, not my cup of tea.
