Amber with a thin, frothy white head. Aroma slightly herbal with hints of ashes and toffee. Taste is bittersweet with herbs and cacao on the tongue. Finishes the same with the bitterness taking the upper hand. Medium-bodied, mild carbonation, crisp, clean feel. Nice.

500 ml bottle. Unclear amber with a small foamy head. Nuts, metallic notes, caramel, roasted malt, dark bread, mild citrus notes. Mild dryness, malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, mild dry sweetish metallic finish. Decent.

Pours light red, with almost perfect clarity. Average sized white head, quite quick to recede, but still leaves nice lacing. Interesting though not too intense aroma shows a half sweet, half earthy maltiness (notes of hazelnut, caramel and a bit of earthiness), plus a quite unusual red fruits note (especially berries). Taste does not fully confirm the aroma though. There's a sweet malty base, plus a quite distinct earthiness, actually borderlining muddy. The nice fruity notes that you could smell are barely there, if at all. Malty notes of brown bread, hazelnut, slight caramel. Finish is not perfectly clean, slightly muddy too. Light to medium body, light to medium, soft-bubbled carbonation, in an overall quite classic franconian easy mouthfeel. Overall enjoyable, but perhaps not fully polished.

Bottle at home picked up from Landbier paradise. A clear amber copper coloured pour with a lasting fine off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, diacetyl, twiggy malts, brown loaf, hazelnut. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, twiggy nutty malts, tangy apple, dried fruit cake, little diacetyl. Layerd, mealy apple. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, moderate carbonation. ok.

Bottle from Hier gibts Bier. It pours deep copper with a decent white head. The aroma is toasty grain, brown bread, rivita, earthy, dried leaves, touch if caramel and fruit cake. The taste is quite dry, touch of bitterness, toasty, earthy, woody, nut, dried leaves/grass and some light caramel with a drying, earthy, slightly spicy finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Slight sweetness provides a decent balance. Alright.
