(swing top bottle, 75cl) Slightly hazy, ruby brown colour with a short off-white foamy head. Dark malty, slightly toasted aroma with notes of burnt caramel, backed by earthy and herbal-spicy hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a modest carbonation. Dark malty and slightly nutty taste with hints of bread crusts and pronounced herbal and slightly earthy hops; bitter-sweet finish with nutty malt and a mildly spicy hoppy bite. Decent. 07.II.18

Fläschken (Altbier #100!) Amber coloured with a ruby sheen, big and stable beaten-egg-white-like off-white head, mild herbal-grassy and mineralic nose with a delicate malty/caramelly and presumably toasty background; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, hardly medium bodied, but incredibly soft; slightly lingering drier toasty and citrussy-bitter finish. A Bier of high drinkability, no doubt. But regarding its ridiculous price, I'd prefer an Uerige Sticke...

Mahagoni. Aroma is molasses, cream, roasted nuts. Taste is bitter coffee beans with some sweet molasses, quite some tannins. Medium drinkable. Don't get much of the hopfensymphonie.

Tasting @ Koelschtrinker. Malty caramelly beginning. Round and nice bittered with a floral fruitiness. Mild, refreshing with a nice dry malty caramelly body. Nice typical Alt yeast there, floral fresh hops, nice bittered. Very round and nice.

Sampled from 0.75 l bottle. Clear, brownish amber with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, nuts and traces of straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, a little roasty and a bit herbal-grassy taste of caramel, toasted nuts and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite dry and slightly grassy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice beer, highly quaffable, just a joke for that price.
