Bottle at Bachmaier Hofbräu, München, Saturday 23rd March 2019. Difficult to be sure of colour as it is poured into a ceramic mug. Mostly malt on the nose and in the mouth, a little smooth, not too bitter, nice, in fact it's quite tasty and better than I'd hoped. Loz thinks barley sugar and butterscotch.

Hofbräu München Leinenkugels’ Hallodri Märzen 6.1% I got this as I was surprised to see anything with Leinenkugel on the label in Seijo Ishii (pricey at 700¥). It’s a nice matte copper orange in color with a short lasting beige head of foam. The aroma starts off with a whiff of skunky hops but it thankfully dissipates pretty fast leaving behind some spicy herbal hops with biscuity malts, pretty nice actually. Full bodied, chewy malts and a crisp dry finish. The taste has a bit of skunky hops up from but then herbal hops, light spice and chewy biscuit malts. It’s growing on me but it would probably be much better if it hadn’t been bottled in green bottles... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A greans Flascherl(Dank an Otto's Mops!): Deep golden, clear, bigger and stable creamy white head; mild to moderate bitter-sweet lemony and grainy-dusty nose; mild bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 6.1%; slightly lingering - mildly bitter - lemony-fruity finish. Well drinkable, no glory, though...

Tap at BKL 2018, the stand workers told us this was the same as last year's Leinenkugel's Märzen, but ABV seems different... Clear amber color with off-white head. Aroma of oxidized caramel, nutty, a bit citrusy, straw. Taste is caramel, grassy, herbal, pale malts. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nothing special, but decent.
