U suradnji s Yakima Chief Hops i uz asistenciju Hopsi isprobali smo novu vrstu eksperimentalnog hmelja HBC 472.
Kako bi arome ovog hmelja u potpunosti došle do izražaja za stil smo odabrali hazy double dry hopped pale ale.
HBC 472 DDH PA je jako zvučan i pamtljiv naziv piva, slažemo se🙂
Ovaj hmelj obiluje aromama breskve i marelice uz fine sekundarne arome citrusa i dinje. Mi navijamo da ga Yakima ostavi u stalnoj ponudi, a kako se vama sviđa provjerite u svim boljim točionicama jer ovaj specijal je dostupan samo u točenom izdanju.

Bottle from Beer52. Clear dark gold/light amber, small white head. Aroma of honey, straw, stone fruits; nice freshness to it. Taste of coconut, straw, apricot, semi-drying finish. Medium bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Very nice, some interesting distant flavours. Probably not one for sessioning but very enjoyable.

Bottle from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours hazy golden orange with a thin white head. Aromas of orange and almond. Taste is honey sweet, boiled sweets, orange again. Some herbal notes on the finish.

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] A slightly hazy amber coloured pour with a ring of white head; fresh leafy aroma; dry, light and fresh in the mouth with a biscuity malt base and a gentle spicy bitterness. Pleasant but lacking body.

On tap at Valhalla Zagreb. Murky orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head, light peachy coconut nose. Sweetish malty, peachy, light coconut and some sweet candy like touch with bitterish finish. Moderate juicy.

On tap at Valhalla Craft Beer Bar, Zagreb. Hazy orange, small medium head. Lightly hoppy, spices, herbs, pines, lemon zest. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, lemony, zesty, even tart flavour, low bitterness, bland, light finish. Some bread, some sweetness.

Tap at Valhalla. Murky orange body, white head. Peachy aroma, fresh, mildly herbal, vague coconut. Soft taste, orange juice mixed with apricot and coconut, soft, juicy, lightly soapy. Though it's nice, I can see Fila's comment that it's not a beer you have 3-4 of, but 2. Still, no complaints, this is genuinely nice most of the way.
