A big-bodied beer with a pleasing aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg.
Pale Ale, Wheat, and Light Munich malts combine with the natural tannin in pumpkin and the delicate spiciness of Saphir and Hallertau Hops to balance the sweetness of the fruit.
This beer is best enjoyed at 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bottle on 12/31/2010 courtesy of Butters. Clear dark amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Big pumpkin aroma with some nutmeg and light spice. Sweet pumpkin flavor with some nutmeg, spice, and light caramel. Very much a pumpkin pie in a glass. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Massive spice - clove and nutmeg on the nose. Autumnal sunset with a white lace emulating the rising moon on a clear night. Coats the mouth with a little oil. Full lingering mouthfeel. This tastes like a pumpkin pie. One of the best examples of this style I have had.

(Bottle) Copper/amber colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Fruity, spicy nose with dried fruit, caramel, pumpkin and spicy hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, pumpkin, cinnamon and some sweet alcohol coming through. Some bitterness in the finish and hints of tannine showing after a while. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Pumpkin beers aren’t really my kind of thing, but the fairly solid malt structure and alcohol backs it up to make it quite enjoyable. Like the name though ... "Disarm me with your smile...", I wonder where I put that CD...

It’s a good looking beer with a transparent orange-amber color and a creamy off-white head. Lots of sweet pumpkin pie spice in the aroma. The pumpkin flavor shows up in a supporting role. It’s a bit too sugary, but it kind of works with the spice. The beer tastes fairly sweet, but there’s lots of spice here as well. It reminds me of an English Barleywine mixed with pumpkin pie. The booze is relatively light and just provides warmth. It’s a big, smooth beer. Gets better as it warms. Very full mouthfeel, particularly for the style. I’m not always a big fan of pumpkin ales or Shipyard, but this is a very nice beer. Good to drink slowly.

Amber/orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet with light fruits, spices, some floral, earth, cinnamon. Medium to thin bodied, which was surprising. A heavier body could have really aided this one. Sweet to begin with but not overly so (but it got to me at the end). Light spices, floral, fruity, light pumpkin, some cinnamon. Finish has a touch of spice and a decent portion of sweet malts. Real solid pumpkin brew. The sweetness finally caught up to me at the end but if I hadn’t drank the whole bomber myself I don’t think I would have noticed.

Much better then the standard Pumpkin Head ale by Shipyard. I like the fact that the spices are WAY lighter in this then the Pumpkinhead. It’s smoother even tho you can taste the higher alcohol content. To me; I will look froward to knocking back more of this! 9 % alcohol content by he way... great brew by Shipyard!

Small offwhite head doesn’t last. Light amber body. Sugary spicy nutmeg and cinnamon aroma, very harmonic and delicate. Dry-sweet intense nutmeg and cinnamon taste with apple notes. Hot mouthfeel. Fullish body. Dryish spicy alcohol and paper aftertaste with fruit notes. Very nice, but perhaps a bit spicy and sweet. (0.65l bottle, Systembolaget, Stockholm.)
