Eine vollmundige, kastanienbraune Weyermann® Spezialität. Es besitzt einen wunderbaren, roggenbrotartigen Charakter, welches an Nussaromen und „russisch Brot“ erinnert. Das cremige, fast schon sahnige Mundgefühl wird von einer frechen Perlage abgelöst.
Ein idealer Begleiter für die nun beginnende Kellerzeit – perfekt passend zu kalten Brotzeitplatten samt Zwetschgen Bames und Ziebeleskäs.

A little cloudy red brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: some banana, grains, soft roast, some caramel, chocolate notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malty start, caramel, ripe banana, soft roast, good bitterness, chocolate notes, decent. Aftertaste: more roast, hoppy, a bit malty, grains, caramel, a little bitter, ok.

Hazy dark brown colour, beige foam. Very malty, light roasty with woody notes. Easy drinkable.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy mahagony brown with a big fluffy head. Rye, roasted hazelnuts, chocolate, roasted malt, wood, citrus, cocoa. Mild dry bitterness, slightly sour, malty sweetness. Medium bitterness, oily creamy texture, soft, dry malty chocolaty finish. Quite nice Roggenbier!

Brown colour with thin fizzy head. Delicate smokiness in the aroma. A little in the flavour too. It so thin and watery though. The flavour doesn't linger at all. Carbonation is too high too.

Brown with a fleeting, frothy head. Aroma of wood smoke, rye bread and caramel. Taste is modestly sweet with the caramel having the upper hand. Very mild bitterness at the finish, which has both hints of rye bread and candy. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Pleasant.

Bottle. Dark Brown color. Rye And soft spicy notes in the aroma. Sweet flavor with pear, pineapple And rye Bread. Hint of citric sourness. Decent.

Tap. Hazy amber color with eggshell head. aroma is spicy rye, berries. Taste is the same. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nice rye spice!

Bottle at the brewery tap in Bamberg. Black beer or at least very dark brown. lasting beige head. butter caramel aroma. It’s a what? dark malty beer with some plum and damson fruit flavour. some sweetness. it’s a bit like a porter a bit like a schwarz. a little spicy maybe but faint and overdosed by the caramel. Interesting beer. not my style and not my favourite but interesting enough to get a decent score.

Unclear dark brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, rye, light roasted and chocolate, light smoke. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, chocolate, roasted, rye - ryebread. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft.
