Our Schlotfegerla® is a full-bodied, dark smoke beer. The fine beechwood- smoky notes combined with the aroma of espresso invite you to take your first sip. On the tongue it impresses with pronounced notes of malt reminiscent of dark chocolate and bread crust.
Together with the fine smoky impressions it becomes an harmonious, characterful beer that goes well with flavors combine meats and ham.

Brown with a frothy to creamy, beige head. Aroma of woodsmoke and salami with a light chocolate undertone. Taste is bittersweet with the roasted bitterness melding into a sweetness full of fudge. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation—perhaps a touch overdone here but only barely. Light oily notes. A good one.

12th Sep 2018. A private tour of the Weyermann maltings in Bamberg with the CAMRA Investors Club (two groups of twenty), followed by almost two hours in the hospitality room. Eight beers on tap; this was one of them. Brown body, off-white crown. Smoky and malty with a leather strap thrown in! Earthy, woody and interesting.

"Weyermann 1, Schlotfegerla", Flasche (33 cl) aus dem Weyermann Fan Shop. - Tiefstes Kastanienbraun.
Nagyon füstös akar a parti fecske nagyon testes akar a svarcanegger, nagyon fekete akar a Laci

Bottle: 3.0. Caramel and chocolate nose, some soy sauce, fruit, light roast and smoke. Smoke is quite faded on this, more like a roasty dunkel. nice enough but not much happening. Tap at the Fan Club: Malty chocolate, lightly smoky, rich and full malt and body with great balance.

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with a foamy head. Smoked malt, brown sugar and some roasted notes in the aroma. Chestnuts, brown sugar, caramel and a hint of ash in the taste. Quite rich at times but fairly easy to drink.
