Can from Brugsen, Christianshavn - pours a clear yellow colour with white head. Grassy aroma and taste, with corn, again extremely sweet, metallic notes, grainy, overt rough boozy,

Can, 10%. Sourish and slightly metallic aroma. Clear golden colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is quite peppery. Has a fruity malt note and a burning alcohol finish. A little caramel balances off the alcohol, but other than that it is rather brutal.

Can @ Pops Birthday Bash. Pours clear yellow with a white head. Nose is marzipan and maize. Very very sweet and warming. Malt liquor at its wildest. Lots of heat and very cloying.

500 ml bottle @ a gas station somewhere in Denmark. Just had to try this together with my chili hot-dog. With no big expectation at all I have to say that this one lives up to every prejudice I ever had against malt liquor (or whatever imperial/strong lager someone prefer to name it). Looks like any other industrial lager and has some of the same aroma with the exception of all the booze. Flavor is pretty one-dimensional; it’s some kind of sweet malt with alcohol and low bitterness. Unbalanced and not very interesting at all, just had to throw away most of it even if my hot-dog was pretty hot.

Golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of grainy malt, hay, some apple, almond, alcohol and a hint of metal. Sweet malty flavour with a strong almond note, alcohol and cardboard. For something as difficult as ultra strong lager, this could be much worse.
