Bottle. (bought in Copenhagen 2010?) Dark brown with a minimal head. Sweetish with malt, some oak, dried fruit and port wine. Better than expected.

Bottle. Presumably 2009, I don't understand anything of the label. Same text as written in the description. Pours nearly black. Small, light colored head fades instantly to a ring of foam on the sides of the glass. Smell is bit oxidised, notes of port, but not as sweet as expected. very full dark fruits ( dades, raisins ) and mostly very, very woody. Taste is very full, sharp bitterness. oxidation did this one no charm. some alcohol notes. strong notes of wet paper. this one is far over the top. decent body and carbo, still.

Bottle from De Hopduvel. Best before December 2014 Dark brown, beige head, disappears quickly. Sweet nose of dark fruit, caramel and vanilla. Hoppy bitter finish with earthy notes. Well balanced. Very good sipper.

Little 25cl bottle pours mahogany with ruby red edges and tan head. The aroma has some spicy wood notes, light amounts of vanilla, a bit of whiskey and a sense of roasted malts. The taste is a little prickly due to the level of carbonation. It delivers similar notes as the nose, yum, like a sense of spicy oak wood, a thin ribbon of sweet vanilla as well as a smooth mix of sweet rich whiskey, sweet malts and a touch of roasted malts right at the finish. Nice one.

25 cl bottle @ Gastropub Nordic. Rated on 20.11.2010
Aroma is sweetish with malt, caramel, toffee and some fruits. Flavour is sweet with whisky and oaky notes, some smoke and vanilla. Also some alcohol notes. Not sure if the original version was better or not.

25cl bottle shared by Dutchdrebus. Very dark brown to black color, small light brown head that leaves a slight lacing. Smell malts, wood, oak, slightly roasty, toast, hint of burned wood. Taste malts, alcohol, slightly wood, oak, toast. Aroma surpasses the taste. Expected the taste to be more complex after smelling it. Medium to full body, slightly oily texture, medium carbo.
