This Red stands out in this beer style category. The malt body is as impressive as a bock, albeit in a uniquely Irish way. With an incredibly smooth malt body complimented by caramel tones and perfectly balanced in bitterness, this Irish Red is much more complex than it’s mainstream rivals.

Red with a good sized tan head. Deeply toasted malts, cracker, semi-sweet malt, earthy hop bite. Medium bodied. Finish is malty with a final snap of bitterness. The hops are more noticeable in the bottled version than the nitro can and I prefer the bottle because of that. It has more character.

Brunrød farge med høyt skum. Lukter mildt av malt og rosiner. Lettdrikkelig med smak av karamell og noe fruktig. Ser meget bra ut.

0.44l can. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit and flowers. Pours clear amber brown color with thick creamy cappuccino-like head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts refreshing dark fruity and grassy, following is caramelly, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild to average bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Mild but explosive…

Lovely nitro pour. Caramel and biscuit notes, a little sweet but finishes slightly bitter. A bit thin of flavor.

On tap. Pours deep mahogany with long lasting, thick head. Nice hoppy aroma with hints of coffee and roasted malts. The same notes appear in taste, but the mouthfeel is quite watery. Short finish, light body and therefore it’s easily drinkable.

Pure copper colour, beautiful creamy head. Sweet, fruity, caramel-malty and minimal bread aroma. Dry, light and rounded. Toasted dark bread, caramel and melanoid with slightly fruity notes. Medium bitter finish, earthy-herbal.
