(Draught at Beer Loves Food, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2020) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, mint and orange peel. Malty, roasted taste with liquorice, dark chocolate, mint, lime, orange, herbs and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. On the sweet side and quite different, but chewy and tasty. Nice one.

Can shared thanks to sjogro. Bit hazy mahogany with dark beige head. Cloves, weird spices, tangerine, flowery, sweet sugary malts, toffee, speculaas, soft alcohol, caramel, bitter herbs. Over medium sweet and bitter. Almost full bodied with oily feel. Nice but not really a RIS.

0.33 l can from 'Het Biermoment', best before December 2021. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty, spicy and gently fruity aroma of caramel, chocolate, tangerine and ginger. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty, rather fruity and gently spicy taste of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, tangerine, ginger, caramel and some peppermint, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly earthy, moderately spicy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Weird stuff, takes some time to get used to it, but then it's actually quite tasty. Feels a little artificial artificial though.

Can 330ml (Beerdome)
Dark brown colour, small white head. Toasted aroma has cinnamon, clove and orange. Ginger bread style. Medium-bodied. Sweetish front. Toasted malts, cocoa, cinnamon, clove and orange peels in the flavour. Well, Christmas beer. I am not so big fan of season's spices.

Can. Dark brown pour. Aroma of spicey kruidnoten, cinnamon, orange, malt and ginger. Taste has kruidnoten, sweet orange, cinnamon, ginger cookies and some other spices. Body is a bit thin, but I like the herbs. The orange is weirdly fitting with the kruidnoten. Good beer.

33cl Can at Joost. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of fake ginger, mandarin peel, toilet refreshener, very soapy ginger-like, hint of ground clove. Flavour is medium sweet, herbal, soapy, mandarin and ginger ale, some clove, more toilet refreshener, chemical. No roast, no RIS features. Medium bodied. Almost undrinkable. Ouch.
