Notes of dark chocolate and vanilla are rounded out with hints of freshly picked cherries, dried figs, and molasses.

Sampled at Ace&Kees! festival. Black with dark beige head. Lots of chocolate, rum, light berries, vanilla, booze, bourbon, cognac, light earthy roast and herbs. Quite sweet and boozy bitter. Full bodied with boozy finish.

Bottle 750ml. @ Scooper Tasting. [ As The Bruery So Happens It's Tuesday - 2017 ].ABV: 14.6%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, bread, dark fruit, alcohol, moderate chocolate. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, dark fruit, roasted, alcohol, bourbon, dark malt - caramel, chocolate, wood. Body is medium to full, texture is oily and creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20180915] 8-4-8-4-16

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma beige media. Al naso note di bourbon, vaniglia, cioccolato fondente, legno, etilico. In bocca è molto impegnativa, attacco dolce con finale amaro lungo, legno, liquirizia. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Molto complessa.

Draught at BeerGeek Bar. Black, opaque. AROMA- bourbon, alcohol, roasted malts, dark fruit. FLAVOR- quite sweet, very warming, bourbon, sugar candies, chocolate. Fuller bodied.
Good, but somewhat unbalanced, too sweet, too alcoholic, not so rich flavor.

Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and syrup. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, raisins, alcohol, caramel, and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish.

Flaska från Boxbeers. Tjock svart med tätt, krämigt mörkbrunt skum. Doftar och smakar av bourbon, läder, likörpralin, marsipan, massor av kokos, vanilj, mörk choklad och fat. Större kropp, men inte massiv. Bra med hetta från alkoholen och fatlagringen. Bränner kanske lite väl och håller inte helt upp balansen, lite typiskt de Bruery-flaskor jag testat tidigare. Möjligtvis att den skulle bli bättre av att stå ett tag.

Flaska från Beergium drucken med ölföreningen. En stor IS åt det sötare hållet. Massor av fudge, rostade nötter, kaffe, choklad, lakrits, häxvrål, lite kokos. Aningen vinös och mycket värmande. Maffigt och mycket gott.

Aroma of thick dark chocolate, bourbon barrel, soy sauce, coffee, cocoa, some vanilla, some molasses.
Tastes similar, with even more creamy dark chocolate, some booze.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes warm, a bit astringent, medium dry, moderate sweet, moderate roasty, with dark chocolate, cocoa powder, bourbon barrel, some soy sauce, slight tobacco.
Tasty. Thick and robust, with well integrated bourbon barrel and most of all lovely chocolate notes throughout. Great balance between sweet and roasty, quite boozy, while not too heavy for the ABV. Lovely, comfortable sipper.
