0.33l bottle from Base Camp. Lovely clear golden body, white head, almost a 5* appearance! Dry herbal and bready notes in the malty aroma. Flowery, honey notes, lean taste, very clean, highly, dangerously drinkable for the ABV. Very, very well made for a 7.5% high boost lager!

Bottle courtesy of Jonas cheers, Jonas! Consumed at home Attenkirchen, Wednesday 25th September 2019 listening to Steve Lamaq 6Music and cooking Meatballs in a Tomato Sauce. Pours gold, good clarity, a white head that very soon departed. Quite malty and with some oomph... some late harvested overipe sweet grapes, in fact it does feel like an overipe malty, fruity effort. Good.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Berlin as ”Augustiner Heller Bock” Aroma has grassy hops and sweetish malt. Flavour has sweet malt, gluey tones, some menthol and mild alcohol tones. Also cereal. Heller bock still isn’t my favourite style.

“Augustiner-Bräu Heller Bock“, jetzt im 33-cl-Fläschchen. - Satt goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase das Augustiner-typische weißbrotige helle Malz mit etwas Birne, satter als beim Edelstoff. - Antrunk schwer und dicht hellmalzig mit Weißbrot, gedämpfter Kandissüße und beträchtlicher aber etwas unrunder Hopfenherbe von Kräutern und unreifem Kernobst. Milder rezent, breit. Im Abgang ruppige, scharfe Herbe von Rhabarber und Unkraut. - Schön malzschwerer aber unharmonischer heller Bock. Hat mir schon mal besser geschmeckt. (4.5.2019.)

Bottle. Pours golden with whiteish head. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Flavor is sweet, bitter, malt, grains, cardboard, some booze, honey-ish notes. Overall: okish.

0,5 l bottle from Rücker, Lengerich. Clear golden with an huge nearly four finger white head in the glass. Smooth caramell smell. Taste is also smooth, some malt and caramell, fruity in the second row. Hidden alcohol, low carbonation. Mid bitterness. Balanced nice ´n´ easy drinkin´ stuff.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 09/17, at St Urhos Pub, 20170725) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, grass, grain and honey. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, honey, grain, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty balanced pale bock.
